Measurement and Evaluation are something which can inform us about the qualities or attributes of any object, event or situation. By applying the principles of Measurement and Evaluation information or data can be collected which will result in informed decision making. While measurement focuses on quantitative aspects or attributes of an object, evaluation emphasizes both quantitative and qualitative attributes. Thus, measurement can be considered as a part of the evaluation process. 

In this course we will study about Measurement and Evaluation in detail. The course will have four units:

Unit I: Measurement- concept, tools, scales, properties, need

Unit II: Evaluation- concept, characteristics, steps, types, difference with Measurement

Unit III: Bloom's Taxonomy

Unit IV: Psychological Tests

This course will be conducted on weekly basis-each week there will be a practice test of 10 marks, one assignment to be written in 300 words and a final evaluation at the end of all four units.
